2012 Spring Color Trend Alert!

From what I've seen in the studio lately, March and April brides are loving all shades Purple for their wedding day! I don't blame them for using such a pretty hue - it's truly a statement color, bringing a sense of elegance and splendor to your big day.

Here are a few pieces we've recently created for our spring brides....

From Eggplant to Lavender to Lapis, every shade of purple is popping up in weddings this season. No complaints here - from a design perspective, it's a shade that easily pairs with just about any other color. Need help with purple color combo ideas? Here are some of our favorites...

....this post on The Wedding Chicks blog, featuring one of our very own Fall 2011 couples! Their soft color scheme of purple, apricot & green has such an ethereal & romantic feel!

Etsy Envy: February 2012

With all of the projects we have going on around our house, I've been on the hunt for coordinating home decor for our updated rooms! Being the dedicated Etsier I am, I started my search on Etsy.com, of course. =)

Check out some of my favorite finds....

A stylish way to add some organization to your office, kitchen or front entryway! I especially love the rustic, farmhouse-style woodworking and vintage hardware.

Upcycled Frame Collection by Wendy's Vintage Shop
One of my upcoming projects is a photo wall in our front foyer - these Victorian cottage style frames would be perfect!
I also stumbled upon this shop during my search for frames. They also offer similar frame collections, sconces & other home decor in the most stunning color combos - perfect for the design-challenged folks out there, who are looking for a little inspiration!

Left: Vintage Wire Bottle Basket by This Other ThingRight: Vintage Wire Basket by Green Canyon Home
The shabby chic style gets me every time! I have an attraction to all items that look like they've been plucked right out of an old farmhouse. =) These pretty wire baskets would go perfect atop of my vintage furniture. Plus, they're the
perfect pieces for organizing cluttered spaces, like the kitchen or home office.

Left: Hobnail Milk Glass Compote by The Vintage Daughter
Right: Vintage Ceramic Pitcher by Love Cyn
I know, I know....as if I need to add any more pieces to my ever-growing milk glass & Fiestaware collections! However, I am head over heels with both of these items.
Compotes are such a lovely addition to any room - you can display fruits, deserts, florals, guest bath toiletries...just about anything in them! The milk glass on this is especially lovely, and will work alongside any color scheme.
The little yellow pitcher, of course, would look great in my pie cabinet....next to the rest of my vintage {and new} Fiestware. =)

New Product Showcase: "Regal" Ceremony Program

We'd like to introduce the latest addition to our Etsy shop - the "Regal" wedding ceremony program card!

This design's scroll graphics, borders, justified text & classic fonts are a perfect illustration of "modern elegance."

This double-sided program card features a double border, creating the same visual appeal as a layered program card {without the additional cost}.

The long & slender layout also allows plenty of space for ceremony text, as well as room to list your wedding party & additional details on the backside. {We suggest including a personal note to your guests, directions to the reception, or your new address as husband & wife!}

Love the look? We can also create save-the-dates, favor tags, menus & table numbers to match! Feel free to visit our Etsy shop for additional pricing information, or drop us an email at interprintations@gmail.com for a custom quote!

Weekend Chatter: Books, Tables, and a {Super} Bowl

It's so close to the release date of Amy Atlas' new book! I already have mine on pre-order via Amazon...do you?

We are putting the final touches on our paperie for the upcoming Art of the Table event, which will grace the table designed by Boldly Chic Events and Design Group! The event is taking place on March 4th at the Columbia Club in downtown Indy. Be sure to purchase your tickets in advance & stop by to check out the stunning event inspiration, put together by Indy's most talented event planners, florists, and caterers.

And last, but certainly not least....

{Unless you're living under a rock} Everyone knows that the Super Bowl is this Sunday! I must say, living in this year's host city has been quite an experience. I am SO PROUD of the great press our wonderful city is getting, and hope that the whole country is is taking note - from it's Hoosier hospitality to it's vast experience in hosting large events (Hello! Indy 500 = the largest single-day sporting event in the WORLD), it's clear to see that Indianapolis is a world-class city. =)

Cheers to bustling weekend ahead! Who will you be rooting for on Sunday?
