Take a break with us....

Attention: Fellow vendors, area brides, and anyone who loves party planning!

Looking for inspiration for an upcoming holiday party, wedding, or just want to scope out some local vendors? I highly recommend attending the next open house at A Classic Party Rental!

The event is scheduled for Tuesday, November 2nd at 5:30-7:30pm. Perfect timing for a mid-week breakaway from the normal routine. =)

You can gather ideas for tablescapes & floral arrangements, sample food from Jacquie's Gourmet Catering, try sweets from 240Sweet, and much more! The event planners at A Classic Party Rental always do a fabulous job and I highly recommend attending!

...and check out the photos from their spring event! (We're in there somewhere....)

A Contemporary Venue: The Eiteljorg Museum

As a young girl, I always looked forward to visiting my favorite museum. I took part in a special art program in middle school, and would get SO excited when our annual trip approached! It is a place full of incredible history, gorgeous artifacts, and perfectly groomed landscapes.

This place is none other than Indy's own Eiteljorg Museum of American Indians & Western Art.

Nestled in downtown Indianapolis right by the canal, it's breathtaking property easily compliments the neighboring White River Gardens and NCAA headquarters. Every time I drive by it, I get anxious for my next visit!

This museum is also a lesser-known {but absolutely gorgeous} venue for catered events and weddings. It is in the higher end of the price spectrum, but definitely worth a look if it's in your budget! Check out some gorgeous photos I found of a recent wedding on the property....

For the full photo lineup, check out Nathaniel Edmunds amazing photography work at the Eiteljorg Museum here.

For even more gorgeous wedding photography at the Eiteljorg, check out the recent work from the talented Chad Franz.

A day at the spa

Today I had the pleasure of cashing in my gift certificate {a birthday gift from my amazing husband} at Complexions, a spa in downtown Indy. I couldn't have picked a better day - after a long weekend, and a long week ahead, I needed it!

I had a 30-minute massage, organic facial, and a mani/pedi to top it off. I feel like a new woman. =) {Thanks, sweetie!}

And after my great experience, I wanted to be sure to pass along their info. I love the great deals they are currently offering! Check out their website for great gift ideas for the holidays, your wedding attendants, birthday gifts............or even to treat yourself. =)

Stepping Out

I apologize for the lengthy hiatus we've recently taken from blogging - but I promise it's for a good reason!

As we try to increase our exposure on a local level, we ventured out to participate in our first bridal show today. Needless to say it took a lot of preparation {hence the hiatus}, but it was well worth it. We had such a blast and appreciate the chance to participate in the first annual Going to the Chapel Southside Bridal Show!

Fore snapshots of our big day, be sure to check out our Facebook page!

I would like to mention that I could not have done the event without the support of my wonderful sisters & mother, who graciously volunteered their Sunday to help me manage the booth. {Aren't they lovely?}

Signs of the Season

Here in Indiana, the temperature is gradually beginning to drop – a tell-tale sign of the imminent fall season, which brings a smile to my face. =) The season of football, tailgating, colored leaves, and pumpkin-scented candles. What’s not to love?

Last night, I attended a reception for Perfect Wedding Guide’s Fall Issue – another tell-tale sign that the season is about to turn. {Be sure to pick up a copy for more info about local bridal shows, area vendors & fabulous wedding tips!}

While I was at the event, I had the opportunity to try out the photobooth from Clikz Photobooth here in Indy. {Can you imagine having one of these during your cocktail hour & reception? Total blast!} Not only does Clikz give each guest a printout of their 1-minute photo session, they also upload all of the photos for you to see after the event. Check out the photoshoot we shared with Lori from Boldly Chic Events…

It doesn’t get any more fabulous than that, folks. =) Enjoy your last few days of summer, because fall is just around the bend!

A Creative Escape

Does anyone else out there love to visit those adorable ceramic studios & paint pottery? Maybe it’s just the artist in me, but I find it therapeutic and extremely relaxing. =)

I recently stumbled upon a little place called Color Me Mine - and am aching to try it out. {Maybe I can convince the girls to have our next Ladies Night there?}

If you’re a bride-to-be, be sure to check out the For Brides section on their website. They have such unique and personal gift ideas for the bridal party, as well as keepsakes for yourself! Have guests sign a large platter at your engagement party, bridal shower, or even as a substitute for the guest book or ever-popular framed photo. After all is said and done, Color me Mine will glaze it and return it for you to use (or display as a keepsake)!

Friends, Fun & Fashion!

What do you get when you mix great weather, girl time, gorgeous accessories & a few cocktails? A fabulous Friday night!

My sister Lori & I invited our closest girlfriends over to my house for cocktails Friday evening. While we had everyone gathered, we also decided to share our love for Stella & Dot jewelry – so we had Jennifer, our favorite consultant, over to showcase the fall line.

Thanks to everyone who came and helped make the evening oh-so-fabulous!
