A {Sweltering} Week in Review

This week has been an interesting one, to say the least!

The craziness began on Tuesday morning, waking up to a house that was 82 degrees at 8:00am. Followed quickly by the realization that our entire A/C unit decided to break down during the hottest days of the year. No worries, though. After 2 days & a {stupid expensive} installation bill, we were back up and running with a new A/C unit by Wednesday evening.

We also discovered this article on Thursday, which features one of our May couples who were wed in the Cape Cod area {I spy a signature Interprintations program in one of those photos!}. Don't you love their subtle tribute to their love of sports? =)

We've also started adding more wedding stationery & gift set designs to our Etsy shop. So if you're planning a wedding, party, shower, or just need some gift ideas....be sure to keep checking back for this season's hottest designs. =)

Then the week ended on quite a fabulous note - we delivered reception stationery this afternoon to the historic Stutz building downtown, where one of our couples, Laura + Jeff, are getting hitched this evening. We walked into one of the prettiest receptions we've seen this season. The creative talent of the Boldly Chic Events team never ceases to amaze me, and I can't wait to share photos of this one!!

A month of many changes

I hope everyone had a great 4th of July holiday!

I had such a great time with my husband's family in Gatlinburg & Pigeon Forge, where we stayed in the lovely Sunrise Ridge resort.

With 6 adults and a 2-month-old in tow, we snagged a full-size condominium all to ourselves! This beautiful resort is nestled right up in the Smokey Mountains, providing us with breathtaking views {and some crazy winding roads}. It was definitely a nice change of pace, even if only for a week.

....and while it was great to have a few days of no work & all play, I was anxious to get back to the studio & get caught back up on orders. =)

Our return from vacation was bittersweet, however, as the post office down the road is now closed {as of 7/1}. No more 1-mile daily trips up the road to mail out orders......now I have to trek all the way over to Clermont to send orders out. Ok, ok.....it's probably only a 5 mile {10 minute} drive. But I've been SO spoiled these past few years!! I'm really going to miss the proximity and the friendly staff at our "small town" Bridgeport post office. =(

Already preparing for fall {weddings}...

It's Thursday already?? Where in the world does the time go?

I'm having SO much fun finalizing orders for my fall brides & grooms! There is a strong balance of both flat-panel & pocketfold invitation designs, all of which I can't wait to share with you. In the meantime, here are a few sneak peeks of the orders shipping out this week....

A pretty, patterned flat-panel invite for Ashley + Marcus, featuring a lovely brown & clover green color combo for their October wedding!

The "painted" flowers, fun fonts & a bold border compliment each other in this pocketfold invitation set for Jenn + Matt! {...and there are wrap-around address labels to match!}

The gorgeous gold tones of these clutch pocket sets are stunning, and will surely set an elegant tone for Christiana + David's wedding in September!

Also, starting today, the Etsy shop is on "vacation mode" through July 6th. Tennessee, here we come! That's right, we're taking a summer vacay. =)

Catching up

This year's wedding season rushed in so fast that we've hardly had time to keep up with ourselves....let alone maintain the blog! So I must apologize for the absence - I'm finally starting to get caught up {as much as I can, anyway} and am stepping back into the blogosphere. =)

As I wade through the craziness that has ensued within the studio, I can't help but get excited about what's still ahead for Interprintations this summer...

For starters, our Etsy shop is breeching the milestone of 300 sales since opening in the Spring of 2010. We are also currently creating new product lines, starting with rustic veneer (wood) invitations & letterpress sets! {Stay tuned to our Facebook page for teaser photos!}

So I promise to step it up on the blog over the summer, and look forward to sharing a LOT of new items & photos from our latest weddings. For now, I'll leave you with some teasers from the last few weeks.....
